HeadLive Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Updated October 21, 2026
This policy covers HeadLive by Meow & Media. Contact: hello@meownmedia.com.
Local operation
HeadLive connects to a compatible Pocket camera over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi, previews video on iPhone, and uses compatible AirPods motion to control the gimbal. There is no HeadLive account, advertising, behavioral analytics SDK, or developer-operated relay. The app does not automatically send your camera video, audio, motion recordings, or stream keys to the developer. These are not sold or used for cross-app advertising tracking.
Camera and motion
Bluetooth is used for discovery, pairing and control. The local network carries camera video and commands. AirPods motion is processed locally. Optional wearable compensation also uses the Pocket camera's attitude and gimbal angles; it does not use iPhone motion as a body reference. Gimbal targets are sent to your connected camera. Motion streams are not uploaded to the developer.
Streaming and recordings
Only when you start a stream does the app send camera video, optional authorized microphone audio, the publishing key, and required connection information to your chosen RTMPS server. That server can see connection metadata such as your network IP address. Its provider determines storage, publication, international processing and deletion under its own policies and your settings. HeadLive does not operate those platforms and cannot delete their recordings. Review the destination, audience, provider policies and participants' consent before streaming.
Microphone audio is optional. Stopping a stream ends further transmission but does not delete content already received. In-camera recordings remain on the camera; the app does not download them. Backgrounding stops tracking and streaming, but in-camera recording may continue; check the camera itself.
Saved settings
Profile names, server addresses, bitrates and microphone choices are stored in the protected app container. Saved stream keys use per-profile iOS Keychain items accessible only while this device is unlocked. They are not shipped with the app. Edit, switch or delete profiles in Stream Settings. Deletion also attempts to remove the matching key and reports cleanup failures for retry. Uninstalling must not be relied on to clear Keychain items. System device backups may include ordinary app settings depending on system settings; there is no developer cloud sync. Camera connection information is used to connect your own device.
Diagnostics and exports
Frame counts, frame rates, buffer size and network write rates are shown locally with no automatic reporting. Starting a motion capture explicitly keeps up to two minutes of camera and headphone readings in memory. New captures replace earlier readings; memory is discarded on process exit. Exported JSON files are stored only where you choose and must be managed or deleted there. Exports exclude stream keys, Wi-Fi passwords and audiovisual content. Screenshots may show a server name you entered; redact private information before sharing. Local operating-system logs or crash reports may exist. Apple's diagnostic sharing is governed by Apple and system settings; the app includes no automatic diagnostic upload service to the developer.
Permissions and choices
Bluetooth enables pairing, Local Network enables camera video and control, Motion & Fitness enables compatible AirPods motion, and Microphone enables optional live audio. Manage these permissions in iPhone Settings. Denying a permission disables the associated feature; microphone access is optional. The app requests no location, contacts or photo-library access. External camera video does not use the iPhone Camera permission.
Support and requests
Manage local profiles in the app, exported files in their chosen location, and platform recordings through the relevant provider. If you choose to send support emails, screenshots or diagnostics, the developer uses them to handle your request and retains them only for that purpose or as legally required. You may request access, correction or deletion through the same support channel. Contact hello@meownmedia.com or visit https://meownmedia.com/headlive/support.html. Never send publishing keys or camera Wi-Fi passwords.
